Construction Supervisor

Construction Supervisor

Meow. This is Hot Rod.

Things have been pretty crazy around here lately, not to mention very noisy. There have been many big, loud trucks here all week. The old cat trailer has finally come down, and a new, better shelter will be built in its place. I personally can not wait to see it completed.

Presently, there are seven other cats, including myself, now residing in the “adult cattery.” We are getting along pretty well most of the time, but every once and a while I, being the senior leader, have to lay down the law and make everyone behave.

When my favorite uncle Jared came last Monday, I was outside supervising the construction process. I thought I was doing a pretty good job, but apparently a few staff members felt differently. As soon as Uncle Jared got there, he saw the trailer manager and my good friend, Aunt Jen. She asked him to find me and get me to the adult cattery ASAP. Uncle Jared enjoys helping my aunt Jen whenever he can, so he got out the cat treats and came to the spot where we usually meet. He shook the bag, then hid in the adult cattery until I showed up a few minutes later. I started to call him “traitor,” but he cut me off mid-sentence, saying Aunt Jen asked him to get me out of harm’s way.

Before Uncle Jared left that day, he reminded me that I had to be nice to my new roommates or I would have to deal with him at a later date. I promised that I would do my best to keep my temper under control.

Purrs,
Hot Rod
