Transfer
In 2018, FieldHaven Feline Center received a request from San Francisco SPCA for friendly, healthy, and fearless adoptable cats to put in a temporary “catfé” they were hosting in San Francisco. From that one request, FieldHaven’s Transfer Program has sent over 2,000 animals to find new homes in three states across nine adoption centers. While our focus is cats, we have been able to places several guinea pigs, a handful of dogs, and even a bunny!
FieldHaven’s Transfer Program is a way for us to help smaller rescues with less resources and the public place animals that may have otherwise wound up adding to the already overtaxed municipal shelter system. The program helps highly adoptable pets transferred to shelters in communities where TNR programs have left the adoption programs lacking in adoptable cats.
