Bring Home Holiday Happiness During the Best Friends National Adoption Weekend!
Reduced Adoption Fees at FieldHaven Feline Center Through December!
Get ready to bring home holiday happiness with FieldHaven Feline Center and Best Friends Animal Society! Friday, December 9 through Sunday, December 11, is the Best Friend’s National Adoption Weekend, with adoption events at various locations to help more people add to their family this holiday season! Cats of all shapes, ages and personalities will be putting their best paw forward. The national event brings together animal welfare organizations across the country to help each of them save more lives by connecting adoptable pets with future families. Adopters can take advantage of reduced adoption fees too—all month long! Standard adoption policies apply.
“More families bring a new pet home during the holiday season than at any other time of the year. That’s why it’s so important to raise awareness about the importance of pet adoption right now,” said Joy Smith, Executive Director for FieldHaven. “By adding adoption venues and increasing the hours we are open, as well as reducing fees, we make it easy for people who have been considering adoption to just do it!” said Joy Smith, Executive Director for FieldHaven. “The goal is to help cats and kittens who need that extra promotion find the homes they deserve—and free up space in our adoption center as well as within foster homes.”
Adoptions will be held at three locations. All available cats and kittens are listed here on our Adoptable Cats page. Adoption fees are reduced for the entire month of December, with bigger discounts offered for adopting more than one cat!

All cats are spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and microchipped. Many adults have also received other medical care. These services cost over $300 per cat on average for FieldHaven to provide. As a nonprofit, FieldHaven relies on donations to help cover this cost of care and continue their lifesaving support programs for cats and their families.
The holiday season is a time for giving and love, so if you can’t adopt, donations are encouraged.
