FieldHaven Closing for COVID-19

FieldHaven Closing for COVID-19

UPDATED Friday, 3/20, 4:24 AM

After careful consideration and with the Placer County directive to shelter in place, FieldHaven is temporarily closing our shelter to the public and volunteers due to the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

In the best interest of our employees, volunteers, customers, sheltered animals, and the community in general, we are doing our best to keep all of those around us well.

A few cats remain at our main facility and the adoption center at FieldHaven Marketplace. Shelter staff will care for them and ensure their physical and psychological health until we are able to reopen.

We are suspending intakes of cats at this time. We will continue adoptions at our main shelter by appointment only.

FieldHaven Marketplace will be closed temporarily as well.

Our Community/Cat Assistance Team (CAT) volunteers and staff continue to answer calls and emails from the community. They will be regularly picking up voice mails and returning your calls as well as monitoring emails. Here is how to contact us:

Main Number: (916) 434-6022
Email: [email protected]

Hathaway Cat Resource Center (Marysville): (530) 686-CATS (2287)

If you are interested in fostering one of our sheltered cats during the closure, please complete this application.

We understand the impact of COVID-19 may have on you as well as your human and pet family. Quarantines, loss of wages, and lack of inventory/access to essential items are having huge impacts on our community members and their pets. With that in mind, we will do what we can to help you with any challenges you may have. We can help with pet food deliveries, etc. If you have a need, reach out to us and we’ll do our best to help.

This will be a challenging time for FieldHaven as well. If you are able to make a pledge of support to FieldHaven so that we are able to get back to providing our community programs after life comes back to normal, please donate or purchase supplies on our Wish List:

Stay Safe, Stay Well, Love Your Self, Your Family, Your Cats
