Time Spent with Cats is Never Wasted

Foster an Adult Cat

A tabby cat with green eyes.

While not as common as needing foster homes for kittens and bottle babies, FieldHaven does occasionally need foster homes for adult cats, which is a cat over the age of one year.

Adult cats may need a foster home for any number of reasons, including:

  • Extra socialization
  • Special diet changes
  • Too stressed to be in or lack of space at the shelter
  • A mild to moderate health crisis or surgery recovery
  • Fostering adult cats can last anywhere from one week to over a year.
  • Many of our foster families who take in adult cats marvel at the gratitude these cats show with their love and affection.
