Time Spent with Cats is Never Wasted
While not as common as needing foster homes for kittens and bottle babies, FieldHaven does occasionally need foster homes for adult cats (any cat over the age of one year).
Adult cats may need a foster home for any number of reasons, including:
- Extra socialization
- Special diet changes
- Too stressed to be in or lack of space at the shelter
- A mild to moderate health crisis or surgery recovery
- Fostering adult cats can last anywhere from one week to over a year
- Many of our foster families who take in adult cats marvel at the gratitude these cats show with their love and affection
