“I absolutely worship the ground this cat walks on!” says adopter Melanie. Two days after losing her darling twelve-year-old Stucat, Melanie was searching for furniture in The Pennysaver for furniture for her stepdaughter when she opened it up to an ad in bold letters, “ANGEL – Female Grey Tabby Polydactyl.” She says, “My heart jumped, as my other male cat, Tooz, who survived his love, was a grey tabby [polydactyl] as well.” While she didn’t think she, Tooz, or her husband and kids were ready for a new addition, she was drawn to the ad and decided to come to visit her at FieldHaven Feline Center.

It was love at first sight. As soon as she entered the trailer, Angel locked eyes with Melanie and rolled onto her back for a belly rub. Jen Paul was surprised and told her she hadn’t done that with anyone else. Angel went home with Melanie that day. “It’s been bliss with her ever since,” she says.

After losing Tooz a few months later, Melanie and her family adopted another cat named Sebastian, a “total marshmallow” who has become Angel’s lifemate.

Angel is happy, spoiled, and a huge part of Melanie’s family.
