Thank you for your interest in submitting your FieldHaven Feline Center Adoption Story! Your participation will help find forever homes for adoptable felines.
By submitting your story, your submission is subject to the following terms and conditions.
1. Content Rights
1.1 Editing
We reserve the right to edit your story to account for grammar, spelling, or content changes. We will never change the story’s intent, main message, or purpose.
1.2 Use & Ownership
You retain ownership of your story. In submitting your story, you provide FieldHaven Feline Center your irrevocable, perpetual permission to modify, disseminate, and use your submission, in whole or in part, in all of its media, used presently or to be later developed, for the non-profit’s purpose.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Website (shelter, Marketplace, Classics, Cats & Cabernet, etc.)
- Social media
- Print and online publications
- eBlasts and newsletters
- Promotions, publicity, and marketing materials
- Fundraising (digital, events, etc.)
- Videos
2. Submitter Information
2.1 Personal Information Use
We will never publish your email address or provide it to third parties without your explicit written consent.
2.2 Name Use
We will only display your name on the site in the way you have presented it to us. For example, you may elect to use your first name, first name and last initial, first and last name, the family name, or the first names of the couple, etc.
2.3 Age
You must be over 18 years of age in order to submit a story. If you are under age, you must receive permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Submission Content
3.1 Copyrights & Content Ownership
Your story must be written by you and belong to you. Any and all photographs submitted must also belong to you or have the necessary permissions for use. We have the right to use any/all photos, videos, etc. submitted to us in our media. Do not use any third-party or copyrighted imagery, writing, videography, or audio.
3.2 Content Rules
Your submission is not to contain advertisements or commercials, partisan or political topics or biases, libel or slander, vulgar language, discriminatory or harassing language, or otherwise abusive, threatening, harassing, unlawful, pornographic, false, or obscene content.
3.3 Permissions
By submitting your story, you verify that all persons referenced in your story have provided you the proper permissions to reference their name.
3.4 Use
FieldHaven Feline Center will review your submission and verify its compliance with the submission policy. FieldHaven is under no obligation to keep, post, or use any submission in part or in whole.
3.5 Consequences & Liability
You are solely responsible for the content of your submission and any consequences from submitting it. FieldHaven Feline Center will not be held responsible or liable for any breach of these terms and conditions by you, claims by a third party that your submission violates the third party’s rights, or claims by you that a third party is misusing your submission. Your submission is your responsibility.
3.6 Qualified Adoptions
The cat(s) described in your story must have been adopted through FieldHaven Feline Center, FieldHaven Marketplace, Snap It Up! (closed 2016), outside adoption venues (e.g. PetSmart, Pet Food Express, etc.) or our courtesy waitlist program. Stories of cats adopted from other organizations will not be accepted.
4. Videos
If enough videos, images and/or story material are provided, FieldHaven Feline Center reserves the right to use the materials provided to make a short video for promotional usage via YouTube, their website, and other media channels.
