Adopt for FREE This Saturday!
Surprise! This Saturday (June 1, 2024) for one day only, we’re waiving adoption fees on cats and kittens as part of the California for All Animals statewide free adoption event, California Adopt-A-Pet Day! As a CalAnimals partner, all cats and kittens will be available to adopt for FREE Saturday, June 1 at various locations. Adopters will also get a free carrier with their new cat! Standard adoption policies apply and adoptions are first-come, first-served.
How to Adopt
Browse available cats and kittens in advance online. Walk-ins are welcome at the below locations. Most kittens are available by appointment; that appointment must be Saturday to qualify for a FREE adoption. If you want to meet a specific kitten or cat, fill out an adoption application form now to get that appointment! Adoption locations for Saturday, June 1 include:

Also open Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Sundays from 11 AM to 4 PM (free adoptions only on Saturday)

Families who take advantage of the free adoptions Saturday are encouraged to donate since the fees are waived. As a nonprofit, FieldHaven relies on donations to help cover the cost of their lifesaving support programs for cats and kittens. Adoption fees are paid for by the ASPCA, in partnership with CalAnimals. All cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. California Adopt-A-Pet Day is made possible thanks to CalAnimals and supported by the ASPCA and SF SPCA.
