Devin Bounces Back from Car Accident – Gets Adopted!
Devin is about two years old and was living on the street, doing OK for himself, when he was hit by a car and left with two broken legs and a chipped tooth. The injuries were so severe that in order to save his life, one leg had to be amputated.
After that procedure, he was transferred to FieldHaven where the chipped tooth was removed and he had a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) on his other leg.
That’s a surgery that aims to restore pain-free mobility to a diseased or damaged hip, by removing the head and neck of the femur (the long leg bone or thighbone).
Pretty scary stuff, but Devin is now playing with teaser toys and laser pointers. Devin is finally healed enough — and he just got adopted! Check him out with his new family in the photo.
We couldn’t be there for cats in desperate situations like Devin without supporters like you. Thank you so much for another success story!
