DeRee Road

Project Overview

The DeRee colony is situated in a rural area that has roughly 50 cats, mostly Siamese in appearance, that had been left to multiply for far too long. When residents reached out for help FieldHaven was able to train them on colony management and the caregivers dove in and got trapping.

Testimonial

“When we started feeding a single stray cat we didn’t know just how many stray cats our community had. They are taking over! Feeding over 50 cats is expensive and quite the task, but they need to eat, too. FieldHavenhas stepped up to help us in so many tremendous ways! They have given us the tips and tricks and resources that we need to be able to trap these beautiful babies and get them in to the vet to be evaluated, treated, vaccinated, chipped, spayed and neutered. They have even helped us with feeding the colony when they can. The FieldHaven staff have all been wonderful. They’re quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we have, as we have grown to love each and every one or these babies! We are so grateful that FieldHaven has stepped up and is helping us do TNR with these beautiful animals, so the population can be controlled, but the cats can still have a chance at living a wonderful, healthy and happy life and experience the same love as an indoor housecat gets.”
