New Shelter Project
Project Overview
In April 2011, after nearly three years years of fundraising and six months of construction, decorating, furnishing, and outfitting, FieldHaven Feline Center was able to open their brand-new dream shelter. The campaign was dedicated to the late volunteer Susan Gardiner in her memory.

The old cat trailer is demolished by staff and volunteers.
November 2 – November 3
The concrete foundation is poured.
November 4 – November 12
The beams and out walls go up.
November 8 – November 10
The roof and windows are installed.
November 20
The interior drywall is completed.
December 28
Work on interior painting begins.
2011
January 19
Color coat stucco is added to the outside.
April 7
FieldHaven Feline Center’s new shelter officially opens during its ribbon cutting ceremony.
