I came from Australia to live in Auburn ten years ago. I attended Sierra College then Sac State University where I earned a degree in Communication Studies. My concentrations are Interpersonal, Small Group Communications and am also qualified in Conflict Resolution, Intercultural communication, and Public Speaking. This year I completed a course at Florida University for Compassion Fatigue in the Animal Welfare Industry and found it very enlightening!
I have always been a “people person,” animal advocate and have been volunteering since the age of nine. It was this combination that led me to the FieldHaven family four and a half years ago and have loved doing my part towards achieving our mission. My work feeds my soul and I treasure the relationships I have forged with my fellow volunteers.
My duties involve being the Volunteer Coordinator, processing the Surrender Applications, being a member of the CAT team, and the general “Jack of All Trades.” My days are always interesting, never repetitive, and I love it!
