About Mara Files
I have always had a strong passion for helping animals in need, and a special bond with cats. My career started as a volunteer at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Southern California, where I cared for animals ranging from injured pelicans, to a litter of baby rats that I hand-fed around the clock! I later moved to Northern California, where I began working as a Veterinary Assistant while studying towards becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician, which I achieved in 2021.
When I discovered FieldHaven Feline Center, I could see how special of a place this was, and I knew I wanted to be a part of the team. Seeing all of the cats that have been given a second chance by FieldHaven is truly inspiring, and I am beyond grateful to be able to help make a difference with them.
In my free time I enjoy playing video games with my husband, watching baking shows/making baked goods, spontaneous hikes, and of course spending time with my cats: Sadie Rose, Toffee, Ruthie, Devin, and Pork Chop! 😸
