About Jesse Perriera

Hello all! My name is Jesse and I joined FieldHaven in January of 2025 as an animal care assistant. Prior to FieldHaven, I spent 6 years working at Tesla, most recently as the Operations Manager for the Rocklin Showroom. While my career at Tesla was rewarding in its own way, I felt another passion calling, and I decided to go back to school to finish my undergrad degree. During this time, I also switched to a career in animal care, and am so happy I did!

While I’ve had animals my whole life, my first experience in animal care in an official capacity was at the Placer SPCA Adoption Center in Roseville, where I spent 6 months as the Operations Supervisor there in 2024. Fast forward to 2025 and I am FieldHaven’s newest Animal Care Assistant! Over my life I’ve had cats, snakes, hamsters, and one very special dog named Bubba (who I have a tattoo of on my left arm).

Bubba was one of the main reasons why I got into this industry. I rescued Bubba on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. Unbeknownst to me, Bubba had epilepsy, and struggled with grand mal seizures his entire life. Over the 6 amazing years I had Bubba, I helped care for and manage his epilepsy. It was during this time that I found out that I had a great passion for helping animals. While I had always loved animals, I never had to put as much time and care into one as much as I did Bubba (due to his epilepsy). It is through his legacy that I hope to bring the same care, love, and passion to every animal I help here at FieldHaven. I am so excited to be working alongside such amazing people at a truly incredible organization.

In my free time I enjoy a variety of activities and hobbies, including: playing Magic The Gathering, going to concerts, playing bass guitar, singing, going to Zumba with my partner Frankie, reading, and writing (among many other things!).
