By FieldHaven Feline Center

Piper came into the Front Street Shelter severely underweight and with a large wound that needed to be surgically repaired. While the vets were performing her surgery, they discovered fluid in her abdomen. Piper went into foster care after her surgery and had a long night recovering. We weren’t sure if she was going to make it, but she pulled through and showed her foster mom that she had fight in her. The next day her bloodwork results came back and they pointed to FIP. FieldHaven quickly jumped in to help get her started on lifesaving treatment. We are only at the beginning of her journey, but she is a true fighter. Piper has so much personality and spunk for such a tiny girl. She’s been through so much in her short life, but the future is bright and she’s getting a chance at a happy ending.
