We're changing our name!

Rainboots

Rainboots was left behind when his
owners moved. He stayed with us
for over 544 days before a family
fell in love with him and took him
to his new forever home.
FieldHaven is committed to loving
and caring for every cat here until
the day they get adopted.

Small changes can mean big things!

Great things are happening here at FieldHaven! For starters, beginning January 1st, we are now FieldHaven Feline Center. Why the change? Well, in our world, small changes can mean big things! As we launch into our tenth anniversary year, we find that while we still do the core services of rescue and adoption that we started out with in 2003, we truly have grown in what we do for the animals and people in our community. Our new and stronger mission statement is a reflection of this growth.

We are no longer just a rescue. From our spay/neuter programs to behavior counseling to problem-solving solutions to community assistance for lowincome pet owners - FieldHaven has become the "center" of all things "cat" in Lincoln and beyond.

Bequia

With the help of Turk, her "seeing-
eye" brother, little Bequia has no
problem getting around. Do you have
room in your heart and home for
these two young cuties?

We will continue to grow and expand our services just as we have been over the years. Whatever we can do to promote our mission to help the animals we will develop new programs for. We are also looking at ways to integrate ourselves into the community more and while we don't have any immediate plans to branch into dogs or other species, we certainly won't rule that out if the right opportunities came along.

TurkI am so excited about celebrating the last ten years and moving into our next decade. The world is open to us and the animals need us! We will continue on our path to spay/neuter, find homes for homeless cats and keep cats out of shelters by helping people help cats in their neighborhood.

We're working hard to teach people that a stray cat in the neighborhood doesn't have to mean a trip to the shelter; which is usually a one-way trip. By working together we can spay/neuter and provide necessary health care for those cats, find homes if possible, and if relocating isn't practical, letting them continue to live safely in their environment, and provide them with food, water and shelter.

We are looking at additional fundraising opportunities this year - a thrift store is a definite possibility. We are also working on putting together a plan for a community veterinary care program. Stay tuned for more to come hopefully on both of these!

For as little as $10/month, you can join our Monthly Giving Program and receive a letter about one of our cats every month, with a full color picture and update of the latest news and events happening at the Center. Your dollars will go a long way in supporting all our different adoption and community assistance services including: Tenth Life Club; Barn Cats Program; Adoption Challenged Kitties; Mature Cats for Mature People; Trap, Neuter & Release (TNR); Spay, Neuter & Assistance Program (SNAP); and our Foster Care program.

If you're already enrolled in the Monthly Giving program, perhaps you would like to give a membership as a gift? Let us know, and we'll do the rest!

None of what we do would be possible without your generous support. I'm so pleased and honored that you are part of the vision in action that is FieldHaven. Thank you for believing in our work and being part of what we do to save animals.
