Radar with one messed up leg

Radar with one messed up leg!

Radar is the newest member of TLC. He joined just several days ago. He was a stray cat that wandered into the yard and home of a gentleman who patiently worked to earn his trust over several months.

When Radar suffered a devastating injury to his leg, the gentleman was unable to afford veterinary care. Before contacting FieldHaven he sought help from numerous organizations without success.

Radar’s leg was gangrenous so saving the limb was not an option; he needed surgery to amputate the leg and stop the spread of infection throughout his entire body. Our partners at Animal Spay and Neuter were available to do the surgery immediately.

Today, Radar is recovering in FieldHaven’s medical suite. He is monitored closely and is doing well. We’re confident that he’ll soon be doing his physical therapy in the main hallway at FieldHaven as he learns to navigate on three legs.
