I adopted Penelope back in May. Since she's been home I've shortened her name to Penny, and I am in absolutely love with her. She's such a funny little cat, and totally sweet and cuddly. She sleeps on my head at night (not over, ON) and demands to sit on my lap if I'm on the computer for too long without paying attention to her. (Like right now.) She usually avoids the carpet like it's lava, and when she does have to walk on it she bounces across it like a bunny. She also has a weird obsession with the toilet.
I did also want to comment on how amazing the people at Fieldhaven are. A few months before, I'd gone to the SPCA to look for a cat, but I was rudely turned away even though I was old enough to adopt and had more than enough money. The experience really put me off of adopting. When the adoption counseler from FieldHaven helped me, I didn't feel rushed, even though it was late, and when I finally decided on Penny, he went though all the paperwork with me and even gave me tips on how to introduce her to my roommate's cat. He stayed almost and hour and a half late for us, so I just wanted to say Thank You! He's probably the reason I felt comfortable enough to adopt that quickly, and why I have an awesome cat today.
