|Carter (formerly Bogart) - UPDATE|
3rd Year Anniversay UPDATE -
Josh and I are getting ready to celebrate our 3rd anniversary with Carter, and we couldn't be happier with him. We lost our beloved dog, Jack, over the summer, and Carter earned himself a lifetime of affection for helping us through the transition. He was snuggly and sensitive and seemed to grieve right along side us. I was so glad that I didn't have to come home to an empty house.
On a happier note, we added a new dog to the household recently, and Carter has adjusted to his presence quite nicely. I've even caught him trying to groom and snuggle with Vito on occasion. Who knows? Maybe they will become the best of friends.
He's still a social sweet guy, and visitors always comment on how exceptionally good natured he is. Of course, that's no surprise to us. We've always thought that he was a gem! The allergies appear to be in check at the moment, and all in all, he's a very comfortable, content guy. He's still a little chubby, but his laid back nature doesn't lend itself to excessive calorie burning. And a little extra squish, just makes him more cuddly!
Thank you again for helping us to find this special guy!
2nd Year Anniversary UPDATE -
We are coming up on our 2nd anniversary with Carter, so I thought I'd give you a quick update. We still absolutely adore him. I am so very glad that we overcame our aversion to cats enough to welcome him into our lives because this little kitty ambassador has converted us. I'm certain that he is one of a kind, but I actually find myself stopping to pet the cats I meet along my walk. Who would have guessed?! We feel so fortunate to have found this little guy (and by little, I mean chubby), as he is a particularly kind and gentle soul. And I've never met a better snuggler. In fact, I'm thinking about getting him approved as a facility cat because I think that he might be well suited to making trips to hospitals and assisted living homes... if only he can come to terms with car rides. We'll see. I've attached a recent family photo as I thought you might get a kick out of it.
1 Year Anniversary - This month we will celebrate our 1 year anniversary with Carter (Bogart), and it seemed like a good time to give you an update. As you know, we are not cat-lovers by nature, as we'd always imagined them to be a bit aloof. Imagine our surprise when Carter immediately jumped in and became an important part of the family. He is a kind, sweet guy who somehow manages to be right in the thick of things without being demanding. He meets us at the door when we get home from work, snuggles and grooms us while we watch TV, and has become my own personal space heater at night. He's even great with our old dog. We are so grateful to you for rescuing him from the pound, and for allowing him to join our family. We couldn't imagine life without him.
